Practice Sequential Images group

For this task, I worked in a group with my classmate, who name is Alessandra Risi. We were put together and decided to go outside and take photos as a team. We wanted to capture movement in everday life, so we chose to photograph a girl riding a bicycle. At first, we had a bit of difficulty choosing a subject to take pictures because there were so amny people around but after that we took random shots and selected six photos of a girl riding a bicycle.

The girl in the picture is cycling across the street. She looks focused on her way and confidnet in her movement. Her body leans forward slightly, and her hands hold the handlebar firmly. Her pink pants and jacket also make her stand out in the background.

I chose this sequence because it is easy to understand, and it shows clear action. The photo reflects the subject's motion and her condition in the scene. From the picture, anyone can clearly see the flexibility and motion of the person. I also like this photo, it made me feel natural and show energy.

This lesson helped me learn how to plan and take sequential images in a group. I learned about teamwork, how to use the camera better, and how to think about telling a stody with more than one picture. It also gave me ideas for my own individual sequential images.

  1. Good - add a piece of research (perhaps one of the examples from the presentations) that demonstrates a link from your idea to the work of another artists. Have a look at Etienne-Jules Marey, link here: https://www.artic.edu/artworks/212158/man-bicycling
