Welcome to sharing cozy spaces and design stories
Welcome to my blog. My name is Katie Pham and I am an international student at DMUIC in Leicester, England. I am studying at Art and Design of this university. I have passion for drawing and arranging interior in the spaces as well as creatig my own furniture brand. Beside that, sketching buildings and natural scenery was one of my reasons why I chose to study Interior Design, and this blog will share my style in interior.

This is cozy style and this was took by Amy Neunsinger, a renowned American photographer and interior stylist. The design is a beautiful combination of neutral colors and soft furniture shapes. The mix of brown and white creates a calm and balanced atmosphere. Cozy is not just a style, it is a feeling. To make a space cozy, colors like white, beige or light gray are great because they make the room feel calm and relaxing. Soft textures like blankets, cushions, and rugs are essential for cozy spaces. They make you want to relax and enjoy. Natural materials like wood and wool make the room feel warmer and more inviting without being over-the-top.
Leanne Ford, who is known for designing her cozy, inviting spaces, once said: "We bought this old hunting cabin form the 20's in the canyons of LA sight unseen, the fireplace was just calling my name. And I toyed with keeping the place natural wood… but who was I joking… a painter gotta paint.” Her words capture the spirit of cozy style.

Good first post, Katie, thoughtful and well written. I had a look at the link in your reference, you could talk about Ford's designs being 'rustic' as well, the images show a designer working with a muted palette (so no over riding colour), the interiors are very pale.
ReplyDeleteNote - when you have a quotation in your text, it should be 'cited' - we will discuss this in class.
We do need to see something on your SMART objective here Katie.
