Interior Design - Process - Making The Design Board

To complete my portfolio, I need to make the design boards to collect what I wanted to show to everyone during my project. The design boards have a cover board, a concept board, a client board, a materials and sustainability board, a location board, an outcome floor board, a digital concept sketches, and some 3D images. I decided to choose PowerPoint website to make the design boards, because I find it quite easy to use and it has many useful tools to do.

At first, I accessed to PowerPoint website and logged in by my student account. Then, I used a new blank and added a color background. I chose gray color because it helped my 3D images stand out. Then I created a box with "Katie Pham Digital Art 2025" words as my copy right and my own logo. I found it really easy to do with 'copy' and 'paste' commands.

In the next step, I created a location board with one map image and one elevated view image. I provided information about building's name, address, the reasons for my choice, and the benefits this location have.

Next I made a concept board. I found pictures that fit my idea and put them in this board by 'copy' and 'paste' commands. I think it helps people imagine the idea and style I chose. I also divided it into 4 parts by using lines, which I got from the internet and copied into 4 lines.

For the client board, I copied from the client template I made before on pixlr.

I continued to make other boards with the same tools. I made the material board, the furniture in the living room and the dining room.

Next is making the floor layout, I made it in Autocadand then took a screenshot and put it into web remove background. After that, I copied it to the page and also introduced what I did to add information.

With the hand drawing, I scanned it in college and then put it on the page.

At first, I found a torn paper image that was transparent and the same color as the background I made earlier. Then I copied and pasted it onto the page, and put my image behind the torn paper image. Besides that, I added a white border to the texts to make it stand out more. I used the shape outline command and it allows me to customize the border that I want.
