Project Development - Part 1
During developing my project, I explored how a living space could make people feel more relaxed in a busy city environment. I decided to design a calm living room where people can take a break from their daily routine.
The target users are city residents who spend most of their day working or studying indoors. They need a comfortable and natural atmosphere to rest their minds.
I created hand sketches showing two relaxing activities and sovles for relaxing. One person are sitting on the sofa and looking at plants, because I think plants can make people feel relaxed and peaceful. Green color from plants also makes the room look fresh. Another person sitting at the dinning table and looking at the shelf with decorations. I added this shelf because it makes the space more interesting and cozy.
I decided to use a beige tone with natural colors such as brown, green, and gray. Brown represents the color of wood, green is from plants, and gray is the color of stone. I want to make the warm and cozy space, making them feel relaxed and enjoyable.
Through this process, I realised that small design choices, such as the view from the window or the presence of plants, can help people recover from stress. My next step is to make a sketch of dinning area to show the view of the second person more obviously.

I think you need to start to look at colour palette for your interiors and post this on your blog now that you hahve a settled design idea. Also, alongside these concept sketches, start work on creating floor plans (you can use floorplanner.com for this) and look at visualising your ideas in HomeByMe as a digital element to this project.
