Project Development - part 2

In the next lesson, I sketched the view of the second person sitting in the dinning room to show the feeling of relaxation and peace in my design solution. I drew wooden shelves for decorations with stone wall behind them to create a warm and eye-catching atmostphere in that area. At the dinning table, I design an oval shape table that matches with the curved wall. Along with that, I added simple wooden chairs to bring a natural and minimal look to living space. In addtion, I placed a dried plant pot to enhance the calm and rustic feeling of the Wabi-Sabi style. The main light source comes from outside through the glass window, and I also put a decorative ceiling above the dinning table with a wooden shape to make the space stand out.

To create a basic 3D rendering, I used Homebyme website to create it. At first, I opened this website and signed in by my gmail. Then I completed my profile and clicked 'create your first 3D project'.

Next, I chose the room type and size for the flat: Living room and Dining room.

After that I added another room to create the dining room.

Next, I added doors, windows, as well as furniture by clicking furniture icon and then clicking the 'furniture' or 'decorate' command. I found it quite easy to do. I chóe uôden dố for the rooms, 4-patio door for balcony, beige painted walls and beige furniture such as tables and cabinets or wooden tables. In addition, I added a lot of green plants put in the corner of the wall to create green space for the house. However, I couldn't change the material of furniture, I could only change the material of wall or floor. This was quite inconvenient when I need to use one material for many pieces of furniture and it also makes the colors not the same.

This is a layout floor when looking down. It looks like that there is a lot of empty space because I didn't choose the right size and furniture. Furthermore, I also left out some furniture like bookshelves or decorations, so this is just a simple furniture arrangement. It helps me easily visualize what is necessary and what is not necessary.

This is when it is in 3D mode.

  1. Could you add an image to demonstrate inspiration for this design? By another designer or maker? Again as in my previous comments on your last post, its important that you start to look at colour palette and fabrics as well as part of your support or background research.
