'Hà Nội Retreat Flat' Reflection

Throughout the process, I learned a lot of skills in using digital software as well as knowing how to represent my own work professionally. I learned different software to create the final work as Pixlr, Sketchup, or Wix. For me, this was a challenge because it was my first time working with them. 

All of them have helped me improve my skills effectively. Pixlr helps me edit images, create the client profile for my design board. Wix allows me to create the website to show my portfolio and some information about myself. Although I don't use Sketchup to create the 3D images, I find it an effective app to build and develop, turning the 2D ideas into 3D spaces. 

This process has helped me develop my ideas very quickly thanks to the research on the works of famous interior designers around the world. Therefore, I can learn from them that the way they use materials, colors or shapes and put them into my project accordingly. Besides that, I also learned how to make a design board so that I can present my ideas more fully and more detail such as information about the location or customer profile, which play important role in developing ideas.

If I had the chance to do it again, I would add other rooms like bedroom or kitchen to complete the flat. I would also try more new materials or change to a new design style like minimalism, modern or industrial to know the variety of styles and look for a design style that suits everyone.

I think I can improve this project by choosing warmer color tones like golden brown, orange brown to make the room look warmer and more rustic. I also want to use more materials in the furniture and more beautiful models for my 3D images. Researching more about the location, design solutions, and the client will also help me enhance my project better and more effectively.

However, besides that, there are a few things I want to do but have not done yet. That is to learn more about Sketchup because I know this is a quite famous software for interior design and it is also very easy to use because it has many tools, but I do not have enough time to learn it deeply and I am not familiar with it, so I think I will spend my free time learning about Sketchup. In addition, I have not done many other rooms for the flat. I think I will learn more about Sketchup and use it to create more bedrooms and kitchen spaces.
