Reflection - AP1
After 10
weeks of studying Art Portfolio 1, I worked on my second major project, which
is called Dynamic Apartment in Barcelona. It helped me in finding my personal
style and gaining new knowledge, like sketching techniques using vanishing
points, how to develop ideas from real objects, and how to apply themes to
projects. Additionally, I learned how to make miniature models. Because it was
the first time I made miniature models, I faced many challenges, especially in
measuring the dimensions to ensure the models were the same size and fit the
room. However, it only took me two days to complete them. I found it very
interesting and useful for my future work.
During the project, I encountered some minor personal issues, which sometimes
prevented me from finishing on time, and my research wasn't as in-depth as it
could have been. So, I had to redo it and research the designers and their work
more deeply. This also helped me learn more about time management skills and
expanding my search.
To improve this project, I think I need to spend more time to learn and
complete it better. I also had difficulty creating 3D images. Due to software
errors, I almost had to use an alternative method for 3D modeling. This caused
me trouble creating materials because materials require many maps to be
structured. Therefore, my 3D images are of poor quality, both in terms of image
and material. I will need to learn more and improve this aspect.
