Further Experiment Development
This week, I redrew the concept designs using perspective point techniques. I drew these using two perspective points to show the interior. However, I found it quite difficult because the Curve Theatre has a curved shape, so I was quite confused while drawing the concept.
First, I sketched the concept designs using the two point perspective technique. Then I used watercolors to complete the concept drawings. I colored the concept for the Stage Door Bar first. I used red as the main color for the walls and chairs. For the bar, I chose gray to paint the whole bar. Then I used black to create the wood grain on the bar table and to create shadows. Next, I painted the wooden floor and ceiling above. For the floor, I mixed gray and a little red to create a harmony in colour. Similarly, for the wooden ceiling, I used brown combined with red. I used the wet-on-wet technique and had to apply many layers to create the wood grain and shadows of the ceiling and floor. Although I haven't finished it yet, I still quite like this sketch.
Next, I drew two different perspectives of the Green Room Cafe. On the left, I used the two point perspective technique. However, on the right, I had to look at the image on my phone to draw because it was very difficult to determine the perspective point. Furthermore, I had to imagine the positions of the furniture I want to place, so I found it very difficult to draw using the two point perspective technique.
Finally, I sketched the concept for the Mezzanine. I found it really difficult to draw the concept for the Mezzanine because it's quite long and the interiors I drew were curved. I had a hard time trying to draw the perspective point correctly.
Although I haven't finished it yet, I will try to complete it as soon as possible. I will also try to show the material well when coloring.

Rather than photograph your drawings on your desk, could you scan them or at least put them on your wall so you have a clean background. The shots are really blurry too which doesn't do anything for your drawings. Do you remember when we did concept sketching last term, we 'inked in' our drawings before adding colour....?
