Reflection

For me, this final term is very important because it includes all the skills that I learned in previous two terms. It gives me the chance to use all the skills together like researching, drawing, quick sketching, presenting, and making 3d model for my project. At first, I was quite confused because this was the final term before I attend to the DMU and it would be quite hard. I was also not confident that I could get a high score for this term. But after that, I worked with all skills that I learned. Therefore, I felt much more confident in my work and have better understanding of how to develop a project from ideas to a final outcome.

During this term, I learned how to manage my time better and complete my work before meeting the deadlines. I also learned how to develop my ideas more effectively and do some practical researches such as practical research of colour, practical research of materials, or practical research of demographic as well as concept. 

I think I did well in showing my ideas through physical 3d outcomes and my concept sketches. Making 3d models helped me present my ideas more clearly and I could develop my design in a practical way. Sketching concept allowed me to show my drawing skills as well as present my design effectively.  Moreover, I also knew how to manage my time properly to complete the requirements of each blog term. It really helped me stay organized and finish my work on time. 

However, I still need to improve my portfolio presentation and make it look more professional. I also want to learn more about different materials and how I can apply materials in my projects. 

Studying at DMUIC helped me learn a lot of useful skills, including drawing, presenting ideas in front of people, developing my concepts, as well as doing research about materials, colour, demographic, floorplan. Besides that, I also gained more knowledge about different tools for drawing, materials for making physical 3D outcomes, and digital software to show my portfolio and develop my 3D. Therefore, all experiences can prepare for me before I attend to university and give me a better understanding of the design process. 

In the future, I would like work with more real materials and create furniture or interiors pieces using actual materials. Because I want to experiment with different materials. Additionally, I also want to learn more practical techniques and methods in drawing and creating furniture. 

My goal is to become a professional designer in the future and gain more knowledge about traditional skills and technical skills related to my major. I hope to develop my skills further and gain new experiences that it will help me achieve my career goals.
